So Monday marked the first day of classes at AM for the Winter 08 term, and tonight I had my first QnA with my new mentor, which was freaking awesome. He said he's gonna demo some re-timing stuff and overall timing things. Also said a lot of his workflow comes from a 2D background so its a lot of poses instead of layered style animation. I really need to pick his brain about that, I think that just works a lot better for me. I played around a LOT with workflow in class 2 and the one that seemed to work best for me was to treat everything like a 2d drawing.
I don't know how they manage to do it over there at AM but some how every term seems to just get better and better. This 2 week break between classes for the holidays felt longer than it really was and I'm so glad to finally be back. Even better 3 of my good friends from NYU started AM this term! Can not wait to see what they come up with.
Here's to what will hopefully be an awesome 08 with good times, good friends......and hopefully a job animating some where!
